End of the Road: Connections in Nepal
During the Summer of 2022, I had the immense privilege to photograph, create a film and co-write an ethnographic research paper in collaboration with Anthropology & Asian Studies professor Kabir Mansingh Heimsath and fellow Anthropology students at Lewis & Clark College to conduct ethnographic research on road construction in the Solukhumbu region of Nepal. I created a documentary film and photographed the process to accompany the research as part of the research team. The film addresses the question “what does undergraduate student look like abroad?” and documents the behind the scenes of what the ethnographic research process looks like. This project was funded by the ASIANetwork and Lewis & Clark SAAB grant.
